Visitors will be treated to a dazzling performance by Cirque Bijou featuring acrobatics, fire, amazing dance routines and a human Catherine-wheel display before brand-new Christmas lights are switched on in the centre of Cabot Circus and Bristol for the first time. UNVEILING OF SKATING RINK - QUAKERS FRIARS Once the lights are switched on at Cabot Circus, celebrations continue at Quakers Friars where Cirque Bijou will showcase a high-energy fire show and Wonder Ice will take to the rink to perform a glittering routine, to mark the opening of the Quakers Friars skating rink. Young visitors will also get a magical surprise as the likes of Wallace &Gromit, Blackbeard and Mr Brunel entertain the crowds. QUAKERS FRIARS SKATING RINK Open 11 November to 8 January The Quakers Friars skating rink is back for all to enjoy. This rugby inspired brand was set up by the Gloucester and England playing legend Phil Vickery who recently retired from the game but can be seen currently on ITV commentating at the Rugby World Cup.
